INDIVIDUAL THERAPY:
RECONNECTING WITH YOURSELF

Individual Therapy is a space for you! A space to explore your story and your dreams without unnecessary limitations. This may take us to places you never imagined... or places you DID imagine but never believed you'd actually get to experience.

Towards Feeling Whole:

You haven't been feeling like yourself or just want to get stronger. It may mean it's time for some self exploration and reflection. Let's dig in to see what's been going on, what you may need, and get some realistic goals for the calmer, centered, and confident you!

This may be you if:

  • you find that you're second guessing yourself and feeling a bit lost.

  • you're not feeling satisfied with the current state of your life and want to make a change.

  • your mental health hasn't been great and you recognize that support would be beneficial.

  • you have goals but want help narrowing them down, being realistic, and figuring out what to do next.

  • that negative voice in your head won't shut up and you're tired of it.

  • you've experienced some things that are still impacting your life now that you'd like help with moving through.

  • you're preparing for a transition or recently experienced a transition and it's been a lot to deal with (pregnancy, postpartum, new relationship, ending a relationship, moving, starting or leaving a job, etc).

  • you want tools in managing big emotions.

  • the state of the world is just heavy and you want support with dealing with it.

  • you'd benefit from a space to talk about the oppressive systems that you or the ones you care about are experiencing (i.e. racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, etc).

You don't have to figure it out on your own. I got you! Let's meet for a consultation to discuss what that may look like for you.

Seeking Connection:

Humans are not meant to live in isolation and I strongly believe in the power of connection. With that said, making connections aren't easy and many of us didn't learn the skills to make new relationships, manage them, or deal with the disappointment of them ending. We can work on this together and figure out some ways to get you aligned with healthy and loving attachments.

This might be what you're looking for if:

  • you want to be in a romantic relationship but feeling discouraged.

  • you're not having the interactions with your friends that leave your cup feeling filled.

  • you notice you struggle with boundaries in relationships so you don't abandon yourself.

  • you find yourself getting triggered often in relationships and want more clarity on what's going on and what to do.

  •  you cut people off with a quickness or find that you're dragging the relationship out longer than is good for you.

  • you worry that you're people pleasing behavior is hurting you.

  • feel yourself getting frustrated or resentful often with the people in your life.

  • the loneliness is too loud.

  • you're not sure how to talk to the people in your life about changes you'd like to make.

  • you're replaying interactions and feeling overwhelmed at what they could mean.

I'd love to support you in feeling more connected with yourself without losing yourself in your relationships. Let's create a plan for how that could be.

Mending Wounds:

Past pains and wounds can greatly impact what we are able to handle and how we show up in our daily lives. You're not the problem! We're not going to blame you for what happened (or we're gong to work through the blame you notice you feel or others are trying to put on you). We are going to figure out what needs to happen for you to not feel as stunted by your past.

This may be a good fit if:

  • you feel like triggers in situations pop up without you fully understanding them.

  • you can recognize that how you thinking or feeling is not reasonable for the situation but it's still hard to manage.

  • emotions feel very intense and you're not sure what to do.

  • there's a lot of negative thoughts about yourself popping up.

  • you assume things about others before they have the chance to tell you what's going on.

  • you notice that you're isolating yourself.

  • it's hard to meet your goals and you may recognize this as a pattern.

  • you struggle with maintaining relationships.

  • you recognize that you have a history of trauma that you'd like to work through.

These are a few things that I've helped clients with and I can support you with as well. Let's set up a consultation on our work could be like.

Things To Consider with Individual Therapy:

When starting individual therapy, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • My services are online and it's best to be in a place that's free from distractions so try to find a place that could help you stay present in the situation. For more tips on online therapy, check out my blog post about teletherapy.

  • We can't predict how long it will take however applying some of the things talked about in the session in-between your appointments is helpful as well as regularly scheduled appointments.

  • On that same idea, progress goes up and down. Some sessions will be heavier and some lighter. Even if you're in a "light" era and feeling positive, I encourage you to still meet. It's a good time to celebrate you and possibly get into patterns that are harder to hit when you're triggered.

  • I send out intake documents to better understand your goals but our first session will be about this as well. Goals could change throughout our work together so let's stay open!

  • I will do  this dance with you where I push you some and also observe when you may need some space to process. Being kind to yourself while also holding space for accountability is a big part of how I practice.

Have more questions? Good! Let's talk about them a consult to see if we're a match.
